Operatives of Ebubeagu Security Outfit in Ebonyi State Thursday arrested 12 members of a drug syndicate that allegedly specialises in the distribution of Methamphetamine, popularly known as Mkpurummiri, to some parts of the state and its environs.
The State Security Consultant, Chief Stanley Emegha, made this known while briefing journalists in Abakaliki, the capital city of the state.

Emegha said the suspects were arrested at their hideout following a tip-off by a concerned citizen, name withheld.
He said two live cartridges, cutlasses and other weapons were equally recovered from the hoodlums. The security consultant said the suspects would be handed over to the police for interrogation and possible prosecution.
