Drug abuse more challenging with COVID-19 – Kano pharmacists

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the drug abuse situation has become more difficult and poses greater challenges, the Kano chapter of the Association of Industrial Pharmacists of Nigeria (NAIP) has said.

The Chairman of the chapter, Pharm Gidado Yusuf, said this at the association’s annual symposium and business summit with the theme: Drug Abuse in the Era of COVID-19: Roles of Pharmacists and Regulatory Agencies.

The association charged governments at state and local levels as well as private sector and entrepreneurs to look into this “very disturbing trend and chart a new course in this strategic area of human capital and national development.”
