Mr Adebayo Taofiq, LASTMA’s Director of Public Affairs and Enlightenment, confirmed the arrests and stated that the state government was prepared to prosecute the drivers for taking the law into their hands.

Taofiq expressed the government’s disapproval of the attack, noting that the injured officers were part of the team deployed for an enforcement operation targeting illegally parked trucks on Oba Akran Avenue.

He said the action was prompted by public complaints about Viju Milk trucks causing traffic congestion in the area.
