Driver kills 2 street cleaners while escaping from LASTMA officials

Two street cleaners were killed on Monday by a driver while he was trying to escape a raid by officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) at the Charlie Boy Bus Stop on the Oshodi-Gbagada expressway.

A witness said, “Such has been happening for a very long time, the exploitation and the wickedness of the Lagos State Government and LASTMA. This wickedness must stop.

“Look at what happened, two family members died because a LASTMA official was chasing a bus. This has been happening for a very long time.”

At the scene, other street cleaners were seen also accusing the state government of endangering their lives.

A protest later erupted against the operations of LASTMA at the Ile Zik Bus Stop close to Ikeja.
