The convoy of Governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State on Thursday was involved in an accident that led to the death of a driver and injury to four journalists.
Daily Trust learnt that the accident happened while the governor was returning to Gombe from Bauchi where he attended a meeting of the North East Governors Forum.

A witness who was in the convoy the accident happened when one of the tyres of the SUV conveying the Director General, Press Affairs, Ismaila Uba Misilli, burst.
He said the driver, Malam Babangida, lost control of the vehicle and it somersaulted thrice and that the driver died on the spot while the four other occupants sustained injuries.
