The CEO of Flying Doctors Nigeria, Dr Ola Orekunrin-Brown, has been recognised for her extraordinary business acumen in pioneering air ambulance services in Nigeria.
She received the “Extraordinary Business Achievement Award” at the Silverbird Group’s annual award held in Lagos yesterday.
Speaking at the event, which was fully attended by crème-de-la-crème in the society including entrepreneurs, technocrats and politicians, Dr. Orekunrin-Brown said she started the company about a decade ago following the tragic death of her younger sister.
She noted that her resolve to ensure that people no longer die as a result of inability to transport them to hospitals in emergency situations led her to start air ambulance services that shuttles emergency patients to hospitals around the world at the shortest time possible.
