An international organization which operates across the UN member Nations with its scope of duty capturing the entire 17 SDGs known as the World Sustainable Development Goals Organization has appointed Dr Fubes Ade Danor to head its affairs in the West Africa region (ECOWAS Region).
The appointment letter signed by the organizational Africa Governor, Yahyaya Adams Muhammad, on the 2nd of December, 2024, disclosed that the appointment of Dr. Fubes Ade Danor, as the Executive Director covering the 15 member nations of the ECOWAS region, is meritable, stressing that his capacity and experience on SDGs related leadership within the region made him outstanding amidst all others who vie for the office.
However, Adams charged him to remain focus and highly determined to bring to limelight the objectives of the organization within the region.
Similarly, during the presentation of the appointment letter in Abuja-Nigeria on the 7th of December, 2024, the Global Secretary-General, Advisory Council, His Excellency Wadji Aref Moukarim congratulated Dr. Fubes as he assured him of maximum support, pointing out that the organization would make available all supports needed for him to succeed in his new role.
While congratulating Dr. Fubes, Alh. Sani Ibrahim Yelwa has this to say, “In recent years, the urgent need for sustainable development has transformed the global agenda. With increasing concerns surrounding climate change, poverty, and inequality, international organisations have sought leaders who not only understand these issues but can also initiate effective solutions. The appointment of Dr. Fubes Ade Danor as the Executive Director of the World Sustainable Development Goals Organisation (WSDGsO) for West Africa presents a monumental opportunity to reinforce sustainable development initiatives across the region”.
Reacting to the appointment, Danor thanked the organization for the opportunity given to him to serve in this capacity assuring the global body of the organization that he wouldn’t turn her hopes down.
