The officials of the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has sealed up two petrol stations in Birnin Kebbi, the Kebbi State capital, for selling petrol to motorists at N220, N205 and N193 respectively rather than the regulated price of N145.
The DPR officials led by the Head of Safety, Sokoto Field Office, Malam Sanusi Umar Nalele and accompanied by officials of the Nigerian Civil Defence during their patrol of filling stations around Birnin Kebbi and Kalgo local government areas of the state.
They also forced some petrol stations to adjust their pump price from N205, N195 and 210 to the official price of N145.
Speaking to journalists, Malam Nalele said they were going round the state capital and its environs to ensure the petrol stations comply with the N145 official pump price.
