A peckish dolphin polishes off a salmon after popping up for a snack out at sea. The bottlenose rose to snare the fish before flipping it up in the air and gulping it down whole in the Moray Firth in North East Scotland. Many turn up to feast on the salmon returning to the Ness and Beauly rivers. Bottlenose dolphins have a large presence in the area throughout the year, but the chances of seeing them increase when their food supply appears – the salmon, who come in with the strong tidal current.
