Dowen: Police advise displeased parties to consult coroner

The Lagos State Police Command has urged people who are unsatisfied with the autopsy report conducted on Sylvester Oromoni to demand that a coroner’s inquest be carried out on the body.

The command said the deceased 12-year-old student of Dowen College Lekki, Lagos, Sylvester Oromoni, died of a natural cause contrary to reports that he died as a result of injuries he sustained following beatings he received from some students of Dowen College.

“At the end of diligent investigations carried out, so far, there is no evidence to establish a case of torture, bullying and forceful application of poisonous substance against the suspects. The final result of the post-mortem and toxicology examination conducted both in Warri and Lagos agreed that the deceased died a natural death,” the Lagos State Commissioner of Police (CP), Hakeem Odumosu, said.
