Mr Godiya Akwashiki, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate for Nasarawa North Senatorial district, has advised the electorate not to vote along ethnic and religious lines during the forthcoming elections.

Akwashiki, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the state House of Assembly, gave the advice on Tuesday while addressing APC supporters at Ende and Ubbe/Ogba/Ganji Electoral Wards of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area.

Akwashiki represents Nasarawa Eggon West Constituency at the state legislature.

He urged the electorate to vote for him, President Muhammadu Buhari and all other APC candidates during the 2019 elections in order to continue to enjoy more dividends of democracy.

I am soliciting for your support and votes to enable me win my election.

“You should vote all other APC candidates during the forthcoming elections.

“You know what I had done so far in my constituency since 2011 to date toward improving the standard of living of my constituents. I had done a lot. I need your support and vote to enable me win the senatorial election.

“You will see good things and positive changes in your area and the senatorial district if I am elected into the red chamber on Feb. 16th. I will provide purposeful and quality leadership if elected,” Akwashiki said.

The APC senatorial candidate promised to embark on massive infrastructure development across communities of the senatorial district if elected.

Akwashiki called on the people of the area and Nigerians to vote for all APC candidates during the forthcoming elections for the overall development of the country.

He called on the people of the senatorial district and Nigerians to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and to live in peace, irrespective of their affiliations.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some of the stakeholders and party supporters who spoke during the campaign assured Akwashiki of their support. (NAN)
