A onetime Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi, Ahmed Yusuf, has advised the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, to be cautious towards resolving the lingering crises in Tafawa Balewa Local Government through the creation of new Sayawa Chiefdom.
Yusuf, who is the head of the electrical electronic department in the Polytechnic, stated this when he interacted with reporters on Tuesday.

He said, “There are allegations going round that the state government are planning to create Sayawa chiefdom in Tafawa Balewa LGA.
‘It was alleged that a key government functionary pronounced it at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders meeting. “If it is true, we would like to appeal to the governor to allow all stakeholders in the area to express their feelings and their stand through the committee he set up.
Yusuf said the state government should not do anything that would temper or pre-empt the committee’s reports.
He reminded the government that there was a pending case in the court over the status of the Tafawa Balewa town.
