The police in Gwarinpa have arrested a domestic servant for allegedly stealing his employer’s handsets, books and other items.
A police source said the suspect, identified as Albert, was washing his employer’s vehicle when he removed the items at Road 44, CITEC Villa, Gwarinpa.
The source said the employer became worried when he discovered that his handsets, books and other valuables were missing when he returned to pick his car.
“He left the items in the car but did not see them after the boy finished washing the car,” the source said, adding that he reported the theft at the police station.
The Gwarinpa Divisional Police Officer, CSP Nuruddeen Sabo, confirmed the incident. He said the suspect confessed to the crime and all the items were recovered.
“The suspect is in our custody and we will charge him to court,” he said.
