Doguwa, Sule-Garo’s “clash” in Kano

There are signs that all may not be well with the Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s camp of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state, following a clash between two of his strongest men.

The two men: Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, and the Commissioner of Local government, Murtala Sule-Garo, exchanged bitter words at an empowerment programme organised by Doguwa at Tudun Wada LGA.

The empowerment witnessed distribution of 500 electrical sewing machines, 500 manual sewing machines, four trailers of fertilizers as well as several vehicles and motorcycles to beneficiaries from his constituency, held on Thursday at Tudunwada Local Government Area of the state.

In his speech at the event, Sule-Garo, had “teasingly” told Doguwa that he hoped the empowerment was going to be real and not promissory.

Doguwa who was angry immediately instructed his aides to bring the bags containing the N70million to dump it in front of the wife of the Kano State Governor, Prof Hafsat Umar Ganduje, who was the guest of honour at the event.

In what looked like an attempt to pacify Doguwa, the wife of the governor said she was sure Doguwa would become the speaker of the House of Representatives, commending him for his many efforts to better the lives of his constituents.

She added that they would not allow any politician to destabilise the political system of the state.
