The senator representing Niger East in the 10th National Assembly, Sani Musa, has dismissed as fake a list showing how senators voted in the Senate presidency election held Tuesday.
Senator Godswill Akpabio (Akwa-Ibom North West) emerged 10th Senate president after scoring 63 votes to defeat his opponent, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (Zamfara West), who got 46 votes.

Document showing senators’ voting choices fake – Sen. Musa
A document widely circulated yesterday showed a list of senators and the candidates they voted for in the Tuesday election.
But Senator Musa, in a statement yesterday, described the list as fake and urged members of the public to disregard it.
He said a review of the document showed clearly that the authors were on a futile attempt of sowing the seed of discord among APC leadership, presidency, the current Senate president and some senators.
