The body of an athlete with the Nigerian Navy Sailing Club, Ojo, identified as Emmanuel Dennis, who died in a boat accident while participating in a sailing competition on Saturday, November 28, 2020, has been recovered.
The body was fished out few metres away from the point he was last seen by the Nigerian Navy divers around 7pm on Sunday.

Club Commodore, Navy Sailing Club, Ojo, Tunde Giwa-Daramola, confirmed the development in a WhatsApp message to our correspondent.

The incident occurred while the former national athlete was test-running his Laser boat at the club’s waterfront in Navy Town, Ojo, Lagos.
