Kano State Government has charged the 44 interim Caretaker Committee chairmen to be responsible in discharging the affairs of their local government areas.
The Deputy Governor of the State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who is also the commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, made the call while inaugurating a 3-day orientation retreat focused on the ‘Operational Guidelines for the Kano State Local Government Interim Management Committee’.
He explained that the seminar, featuring a series of presentations, aims to equip participants with the knowledge needed to effectively fulfill their responsibilities and promote the development of local government areas (LGAs).
The deputy governor emphasised the importance of understanding operational guidelines, “as they will serve as the legal framework” for their functions, according to a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ibrahim Garba Shu’aibu.

“You are all expected to be responsible in discharging all local government affairs,” Gwarzo urged.
