The former lawmaker, in a dramatic way, said he once told President Muhammadu Buhari that there were lots of “Magus” in his government but Buhari failed to listen to him.
In the early hours of Monday, Magu was arrested by men of the Department of State Services, (DSS).
The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, however, claimed Magu was only invited for questioning and not arrested
Magu has been in detention since Monday.
Journalists were barred from a sitting of a panel set up to probe the alleged violations by the former EFCC boss who was suspended by President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday.
Mr Mohammed Umar, the Director of Operations, EFCC, has since taken charge of the anti-graft agency in the interim.
