DHQ gets spokesperson

Defence Headquarters has appointed a new director of information (DDI) Colonel Rabe Abubakar. He took over from Major General Chris Olukolade in Abuja yesterday.
A statement yesterday by lieutenant commander Way Olasibi for the DDI said Abubakar took over from Olukolade who is retiring in September.
Abubakar was born on 7 April, 1965.  He hails from Batsari local government of Katsina State and has BSc in History. He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army as second lieutenant in 1989.
He was coordinator joint media centre at the headquarters of the Joint Task Force Operation in the Niger Delta; commandant Nigerian Army School of Public Relations and Information (NASPRI) Lagos; and executive director corporate affairs, Nigerian Army Welfare Limited, the statement said.
