Over 100 engineers have been trained by the Delta State Ministry of Works (Highways, Urban, Rural and Riverine) with a view to meet up with the new challenges in road construction.
City & Crime reports that the three-day capacity building workshop was for the engineers in the ministry.
The commissioners in the ministry, Reuben Izeze and Mr Charles Aniagwu, said the training was to equip engineers with better understanding of engineering skills to meet up with new challenges in road construction.
The commissioners, represented by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Engr Fred Edafiogho, said the workshop was meant to prepare the engineers for the task ahead.

Some of the engineers, who spoke with journalists, said their orientation on road construction, especially in swampy and riverine areas, had been broadened.
