The declared-wanted President General of Ewu Kingdom, Prof. Arthur Ekpekpo, was arrested by men in military uniforms at an undisclosed location in Sapele, Delta State on Sunday night and his whereabouts remain unknown.
Also, Chief Belvis Adogbo and Dennis Akugbaye, two prominent leaders of the Okuama Vanguard, were apprehended on Monday morning by armed men in plain clothes at different locations in Ughelli, Delta State.
An Okuama leader, who preferred to be anonymous, suggested that these arrests might be linked to the March incident in which 17 military personnel were killed.
The source expressed uncertainty about the reasons behind the arrests and said the officials involved may be operatives from the Department of State Services (DSS).

There has been no official statement from security sources regarding the arrests, and a senior police officer indicated that they are unaware of the development.
In March 2024, Okuama was devastated by a reprisal attack by the Nigerian Army following the murder of 17 military personnel near the community. The attack destroyed buildings, including hospitals, schools, and private structures.
