Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. (Deacon) Kingsley Otuaro has said the Okowa administration acknowledges security as key to industrialisation and has created the Advocacy Committee Against Vandalism of Oil and Gas Facilities to ensure safe environments in the State for business and economic investments to thrive.
According to him, the Delta State Advocacy Committee against Vandalism of Oil and Gas Facilities led by himself, was forged out by the state government to collaborate with presidential peace operations in the Niger Delta to pursue peace and create an investor-friendly environment.
Speaking at the just-concluded Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS) in Abuja, the Deputy Governor who represented Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at the event said another security organ set up fundamentally for this purpose in the state is the Delta Waterways and Land Security Committee.
Wooing investors to come to Delta, Otuaro stressed that the SMART Agenda of Governor Okowa administration remained committed to peace as panacea for development, while showcasing Delta State as potential investors’ delight and home to solid mineral resources such as Kaolin, Lignite, Bitumen, Silica etc.
