The Delta State chapter of the APC will on Saturday, January 5 at the state capital, Asaba, inaugurate its governorship campaign committees as well as the flag off of the campaigns.
The Media Director, Great Ogboru Campaign Organisation, Zik Zulu Okafor, said yesterday, in a statement that the flag-off was seen by Deltans as a turning point in the political journey of the state.
“The APC governorship candidate, admirably called the People’s General, Olorogun Great Ovedje Ogboru, will lead a rendezvous of thousands of passionate APC chieftains and select members from the 3,670 units, 270 wards and 25 Local Government Areas (LGAs), in the state for the occasion.
“The 5th January event however is not a rally. It is for the inauguration of the different committees for the governorship campaign at all levels from the state, LGAs to the wards and units.
“It is therefore not envisioned to be a crowded occasion. It is purely a strategic event, tactical in concept and execution to achieve a decisive victory at the governorship polls,” Okafor said.
