Delta 2022: Gombe Bulls determined to retain gold medal

“Our earnest preparation is not aimed at next season only, we equally want to go and reclaim the gold medal we won in the last Sports Festival in Edo, using some players from the team,” he said.

While speaking to pressmen yesterday, Jarma praised the state governor, Inuwa Yahaya for his commitment to basketball development in the state.

“I will like to thank His Excellency, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya who is the number one fan of Gombe Bulls, for granting our request to attend the NBBF final8.

“It is satisfying to know that he always responds to us whenever there is a need. I have never doubted his commitment to making Gombe Bulls great again. His Excellency loves basketball and he has assured us that he will always support us so that we will keep making the good people of Gombe proud,” he said.

He further thanked the management, technical crew and players of Gombe Bulls for their determination to keep the team strong.

It will be recalled that Gombe Bulls failed to progress out of the Savannah conference of the just concluded 2022 Nigeria Professional Basketball League.
