Defilement: Jos court adjourns case to September 8

The Jos Upper Area Court 2, Kabong, has adjourned a case of defilement involving one Ishaku Mikailu Ishaku, alleged to have defiled a 7-year-old girl while she was returning home in Unguwan Rogo community of Jos North Local Government Area of the state.

The incident was said to have occurred in 2018 when the victim was seven years old.

At the resumed hearing, the defense counsel, Aliyu Sange brought four witnesses out of which only three were presented, to testify in the case.

None of the three witnesses presented claimed to have any knowledge of whether the accused person defiled the victim.

The presiding judge, Nanlap Dashi, after the three witnesses’ testimony, in his submission adjourned the case to September 8, for the last witness to be presented to testify.
