The pastor of a Deeper Life Bible Church in Akure, Ondo State capital, was abducted inside the church on Monday.
Gunmen were said to have whisked the pastor away from the church located at Irese, an outskirt of Akure.
The cleric simply identified as Pastor Ogedengbe was reportedly kidnapped with other members of his church when his abductors went for him.
His abduction was confirmed by a member of the church who simply identified himself as Brother Paul.
“He was kidnapped inside the church. They came with a black Corolla sports car. He was kidnapped alone,” the church member said.
Security operatives are yet to react to the report as at the time of filing the report.
His abduction happened a day after men of the Amotekun Corps arrested four suspects for kidnapping three persons along Oda road in Akure.
The suspects were said to have kidnapped the victims along Pelepe area of Oda road last Friday.
Addressing Journalists, Amotekun Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, said the suspects took advantage of the rainfall on the said day to perpetrate the act.
They were also alleged to have raped the victims.
