A 35-year-old man, Uche Chukwuma has been arraigned before a magistrate court in Osogbo, Osun State on Wednesday over alleged attempt to kill a man who lent him money.
The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Elisha Olusegun told the court that the accused person committed the offence between December, 2018 and 26th August, 2020 in Osogbo.

Inspector Elisha Olusegun said that the accused person borrowed N6.5 million from his creditor, Stanley Ginika and failed to pay back.
He said that the accused person threaten to assassinate the creditor in order for him not to pay the loan he collected.
Elisha further told the court that the accused person issue Diamond Bank Cheque No. 10413711 to one Stanley to withdraw the sum of N 2,200,000 which was not honored at the Bank.
He told the court that the offence committed by the accused person was contrary to and punishable under Section 419, 390(9), 86 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 vol.II Laws of Osun State Nigeria, 2002 and Section 1(1)(b) of the dishonored cheque(Offences)Act, Laws of Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
The accused person pleaded not guilty to offence leveled against him.
The Defence Counsel, Adeyemi Adedeji applied for his client bail in the most liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Ishola Omisade granted the bail of the accused person in the sum of N5,000,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till 16th of November, 2020.
