Deborah Daniels emerges 2018 Miss Comely Queen Nigeria

A young lady, Miss. Deborah Daniels, has emerged the winner of this year’s edition of Miss Comely Queen Nigeria beauty pageant.

The pageant featured 37 contestants representing the 36 states in Nigeria and the FCT.

With this feat, Daniels, who represented Delta state at the pageant, won N1million and will be working with organisations dedicated to eradicating or reducing breast cancer in the country.

Speaking to newsmen in Abuja shortly after winning the pageant, Daniels said she will join hands with local and international organisation to create awareness on breast cancer which is becoming more rampant in the country.

She said cancer-related deaths can be avoided with early detection and treatment.

While quoting the World Health Organization (WHO), she said that approximately 70 percent of deaths from cancer occur in low and middle income countries and around one third of deaths from cancer are due to the five leading behavioural and dietary risks: high body mass index, low fruit and vegetable intake, lack of physical activity, tobacco use and alcohol use.

  • Queen Daniella Ojugo – Miss Comely Queen Nigeria Tourism 2018
  • Queen Nanret Augustine – Miss Comely Queen Ambassador 2018
  • Queen Bwefa Mabwe – Face of Comely Nation 2018

Dignitaries, who attended the grand finale of the pageant in Abuja, include top business moguls, leading fashion models and other celebrities.

Miss Comely Queen Nigeria is an annual beauty pageant which produces beauty queens for breast cancer advocacy across the nation.
