Death of my son won’t deter me from sending others to school, says father of slain Kagara boy

The father of the boy bandits killed during the attack on Government Science College, Kagara, Niger State, Mr Ayuba Dansabe Bawa, has said the death of his son will not deter him from send his other children to school.

He said this when top officials of the Niger State government led by Commissioner for Education, Hajiya Hannatu Jibrin Salihu, paid him a condolence visit.

“I am very grateful for the visit and the show of love and support by the Commissioner on behalf of the state government. I am assuring you that Benjamin’s death will not deter me from sending my other children to School,” he said.

Earlier, Hajiya, who was accompanied by her counterpart in the Ministry of Mineral Resources,  Sunday Kolo, Director General Religious affairs, Mal Umar Faruk, Representative of the CAN Chairman Niger state, Pastor Raphael Opawoye,sympathized with the family of the deceased, the Management of the College and the good People of Kagara over the ugly incident.

She said that the State Government share in the grief caused by the unfortunate incident, adding that the loss is indeed painful.

He said Benjamin B. Habila died as a hero and that many will live to remember him.

She assured that government is doing everything possible to ensure that the abducted Students, Teachers and others are rescued safely and returned to their parents as soon as possible.

Receiving the Delegation the Divisional Police Officer Kagara, Bala Saidu, the family of the deceased and Community Leaders appreciated the Commissioner, and the team for the Visit and expressed gratitude to the State Government for it’s continued support to the Security Agencies in the State.

High point of the visit included prayers for the slain Student and safe return of all those that were kidnapped.
