A day-old baby was on Friday abandoned at a dumpsite in Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The public relations officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Babawale Afolabi, said the timely arrival of an operative of the command, who made arrangements for medical attention towards her treatment, saved the baby.
