A documentary on one of Nigeria’s popular singers, David Adeleke also known as Davido, is set to premiere in January.

This was announced by the Nigeria Entertainment Today (Netng) on the release of a new documentary that tells the story of Davido.

Sharing the trailer of the documentary, they captioned it, “One billion streams in one year! It’s an all-too-rare feat only @davido has achieved in Africa. In 10 years, he’s proven that he isn’t the rich kid passing out time with music. It’s serious business and he’s putting in the hard work.

“We Rise: The Davido Story’ as told by those that have watched him grow and evolve through the years, premieres on Sunday, January 15, 2022, only on the net.ng/davido. #thedavidostory.”

This documentary will capture most of the musical journey of the singer and his road to success, wealth, and fame.

This is will be the second documentary from Netng in 12 months following the release of ‘Scapegoat: The Story of D’banj’ in October 2020. ‘We Rise: The Davido Story’ is also the first feature documentary on Davido.

Recall that in November 2020, the singer raked in about 200 Million Naira after he had publicly called on his friends and colleagues to each send him 1 million Naira as he wanted to clear his Lamborghini from the port ahead of his birthday.

The news of the crowdfunding gained both National and international reactions especially after he donated all the money he realized to all the orphanages in Nigeria, including an additional 50 million Naira.
