Davido Becomes Most Followed Nigerian Across Social Media Platforms

Famous singer David Adeleke, aka Davido, has become the most followed Nigerian on social media.

An entertainment statistics company, Top Charts Africa, released a list on Tuesday, showing that Davido is comfortably seated at the top with 56.1 million followers across various social media platforms.

With 38.6 million followers, Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy is ranked second, closely followed by Wizkid, who has 38.4 million followers.

With 34.3 million followers each, Afropop sensations Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage are tied for fourth place and fifth, respectively.

The remaining celebrities to complete the top 10 are singer Simi (29.9 million followers), actress Mercy Johnson (33.5 million followers), music executive Don Jazzy (30.1 million followers), skit creator Mark Angel (29.7 million followers), and actress Regina Daniels (28.7 million followers).

Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and TikTok were the four main social media platforms from which the list was compiled based on number of followers.
