Daurawa returns as Kano Hisbah boss

Popular Kano based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa has been reappointed as the Commandant-General of Kano Hisbah Board by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Daurawa announced the development in a video clip published on his official Facebook page on Monday.

He will be heading the board for the third time as he had served two terms during the administration of former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the first tenure of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In 2018, he announced his resignation as a fallout of the issues between the two former governors, Kwankwaso and Ganduje.

However, the Islamic cleric on his official Facebook page published a video clip showing him receiving an appointment letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.

The new Hisbah boss is widely seen as someone who played a great role in the success of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) during the last general elections.
