Daura Transportation University to commence Sept

The University of Transportation, Daura, Katsina State, will commence operations by September 2022, the Minister of Transportation, Mr Rotimi Amaechi has said.

The minister stated this on Monday after inspecting construction facilities at the permanent site of the university in Daura.

The university is a corporate social responsibility of China Civil Engineering and Construction Company (CCECC) facilitated by Mr Amaechi.

Amaechi said the work has advanced greatly and he’s confident the university will commence operations this year.

“On the University, the CCECC said just seven buildings are left. But I have told the permanent secretary to invite them to a meeting.  We can start functioning by September 2022,” he said.

Earlier, at the Dala Inland Dry Port Kano, the minister said although the structures are completed, he cannot invite the president to commission it until the landscaping is done.
