A 28-year-old data analyst, Ikechukwu Okoroafor, was yesterday charged before an Igbosere chief magistrate court, Lagos, with stealing human hair, property of Hairby Wanneka.
Okoroafor, who was employed by Hairby Wanneka about two months ago and transferred to Lagos only two weeks ago, allegedly committed the offence along with others still on the run.
The offence, according to the police, was committed between July 1, 2019 and July 13, 2019 between 9am and 9pm at No. 32, Orikepo Akande Street, Road 12, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, in the Eti Osa local government area.
The offence is punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
Okoroafor was alleged to have stolen one package of human hair valued at N50,000 and one Tam-10 human hair valued at N38,000, property of the Hairby Wanneka company.
It was further alleged that some human hair items, which had been allegedly stolen, were found in the possession of the accused person.
Okoroafor pleaded not guilty to the three- count criminal charge.
Magistrate Aro Lambo ordered that the suspect be admitted to N100,000 bail, with two sureties and fixed trial for 21 August, 2019.
