The Court of Appeal in Abuja has nullified the conviction of the former spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh.
The three-member panel of justices, which was presided by Justice Stephen Adah, held that the trial of Metuh before a Federal High Court in Abuja presided by Justice Okon Abang was manifestly biased, and also ordered a retrial of the case.

Justice Okon Abang had in February sentenced Olisa Metuh to seven years imprisonment.
The court also fined Metuh N375 million to be paid to the Federal Government, and to have his company, Destra Investment Ltd, wound up by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Metuh was alleged to have received the sum of N400 million from a former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki, which he said was used for the 2015 presidential campaign publicity of former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
