Dankwambo presents 2014 budget of N107.4 bn

This is made up of recurrent expenditure of N43.5 billion and capital expenditure of N63.8 billion. The Ministry of Works and Infrastructure took the lion share of N15.5 billion, Agriculture got N2.5 billion, Health N2.6 billion and Education has N9.2 billion
The budget is based on an estimated recurrent revenue of N50.8 billion and capital receipts of N55.8 billion. From the projection, the government anticipate a budget deficit of N678 million.
Presenting the budget, which was tagged “Budget of Restoration”, Dankwambo said he is determined to restore the confidence of the people the lost glory of Gombe State in good governance, national and sub-national development arena.
