He said, “Before the year runs out, we hope to add a new baby to the mix, the Okpella plant in Edo State, which will help take care of the 40% increase in demand. Dangote Cement is still Africa’s leading cement producer with a PAN-African capacity of 48.6MT/A and existing in 10 African countries.”

He described the Cem I 52.5N as a specialised cement for industrial purposes, only available to the market on demand with higher curing standard.

Coker emphasized that this class of cement is used for the construction of bridges, high rise buildings and all high strength concrete works which require high durability.

The Group Executive Director, Commercial Operations, Hajiya Halima Aliko-Dangote, restated the company’s commitment to contributing to a significant reduction in the number of unemployed Nigerians.

Halima Aliko-Dangote, who was represented by the Group Chief Commercial Officer, Dangote Industries Limited, Rabiu Umar, said the group is committed to reducing the suffering in the society, especially in the reduction of unemployment, hence the huge sums being invested in various projects across Nigeria.
