The Chairman of Lokoja Local Government Area (LGA) in Kogi State, Alhaji Muhammad Danasabe Muhammad, has described a health facility donated by Dangote Cement to Iwaa community as a milestone.
Speaking at the commissioning yesterday, the chairman said, “Today is another milestone in Iwaa.”
The chairman who chronicled the interventions of Dangote Cement in the state, said the company had in partnership with Lokoja LGA equipped the Obajana Primary Healthcare Centre constructed by the LGA with modern medical equipment and drugs.
Represented by the council’s Secretary, Hon Umar B. Muhammad, said, Alhaji Muhammad said, “The same company had built a full standard Primary Health Care Centre in Oyo Community and equipped it with necessary medical facilities.”
The traditional leader of Iwaa, Oba Francis Migbole, described the construction and the commissioning as an act of God, adding that it was only God that could reward Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
The General Manager (Community Affairs and Special Duties) of Dangote Cement, Mr Ade Anlemi, who was represented by the company’s Plant Director, Mr J.V Gungune, commended the state and the host communities for their cooperation and partnership with the company.
