Dangote Transport rolls out CSR schemes in Kogi

As part of its Community Social Responsibility in Kogi State, Dangote Cement Plc has announced several community intervention activities to mark its sustainability function for 2021.

This informed the decision by the company to earmark billions of naira in its ‘highly structured’ community relation schemes over the years, one of which is the multibillion-naira Obajana-Kabba concrete road that was completed this year.

Speaking at the commissioning of the 16,000 litres capacity borehole donated to the Oyo Iwa mining community, the National Director of Logistics, Dangote Cement Plc, Mr. Carlos Rincon, said the President of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, is passionate about the welfare of the communities.

Mr. Rincon said the Sustainability Week offers a rare opportunity for an interface between the company and communities, while describing the intervention as an “epoch making occasion”.

The Transport Division of the company has also customized Water Tanker Distribution Scheme that further supports water supply to the communities.

The Baloo of Oyo Iwa, Oba Solomon Obahawu, commended Alhaji Aliko Dangote for his philanthropic spirit, saying the company has supported them in multiple ways such as jobs, roads, electricity and water.
