Dangote, Akpabio, 8 govs in Lagos as Saraki buries mother

Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, and Senate President Godswill Akpabio were among the dignitaries at Nigeria’s economic capital, Lagos, when ex-Senate President Bukola Saraki laid his mother to rest, on Friday.

Matron of the Saraki dynasty had passed away at the age of 88 years old on June 18, 2024.

On Friday, a funeral service held in her honour at the Cathedral Church of Christ, Marina, while a reception was organised at Eko Hotels and Suites.

Among the governors sighted were, Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Caleb Muftwang (Plateau), Lucky Aiyedatiwa (Ondo) and Ademola Adeleke (Osun).

Others were Peter Mbah (Enugu), Seyi Makinde Oyo) and Duoye Diri (Bayelsa).

Top politicians, captains of industry, businessman, among other dignitaries were also in attendance.
