Hajiya Asiya Musa Dangiwa, the younger sister of Alhaji Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, Managing Director, Federal Mortgage Bank, has been kidnapped in Kankia LGA of Katsina State.

The victim is said to be a health worker in Kankia Local Government Area of the state.

Daily Trust reliably gathered that the kidnappers stormed the residence of the victim during the early hours of Wednesday and demanded for money from her husband.

“They came around 12 midnight and asked the husband for money and he told them that all he had was N20,000, which they collected, slapped him on the face, and insisted on going with him, which he consented.

“But when they got outside the house, one of them said the husband was not the right person for them to kidnap but his wife, because her brother is a ‘big man’ in Abuja,” a source has said.

The source added that the kidnappers then returned to the house, abducted the wife and released the husband.

Primary Healthcare worker abducted

In a related development, one Alhaji Amiru Shu’aibu, a staff of Primary Healthcare Centre, Faskari Local Government Area of Katsina State has been abducted by unknown gunmen.

Daily Trust learnt that Shu’aibu, a resident of Unguwan Maje, Mairuwa ward of Faskari and the kidnappers were at the village Tuesday night where they kidnapped him.

Two Children Missing

Similarly, on Monday, September 21, 2020, unknown gunmen kidnapped two children of one Alhaji Rabiu Maibulawus, a resident of Dandume town in Dandume LGA of Katsina State.

Sources confided in Daily Trust that the attackers were in the town around 12 am Monday where they kidnapped the children, and in the process wounded one other person.

When contacted, the police spokesman in the state, SP Isah Gambo confirmed the incidents, saying the police and other security agencies were making efforts to ensure that the victims were rescued alive.
