Dana Air at the weekend celebrated its 14th anniversary by giving free tickets onboard its flights for 30 days since last week, the airline said in a statement.
Dana Air has just resumed operation after undergoing an audit of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
It commenced scheduled flight operations on the 10th of November 2008 and has steadily grown its fleet to about nine aircraft with over nine million passengers flown in the last 14 years.
The Chief Operating Officer of Dana Air, Ememobong Ettete, lauded the airline’s ravel partners, loyal customers, vendors, and most importantly the staff “for keeping faith with us and believing in the brand – Dana Air, without them, there is no us.’’
‘’We are resilient, dogged and passionate about what we know how to do best, which is flying safely, and this is just to reassure the flying public that we are back, better and improved.’’
Meanwhile, the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) in a letter signed by its Deputy General Secretary Umoh Ofonime congratulated the airline on the success at the recently concluded NCAA audit.
“We are sure the exercise has prepared your airline for smooth and safe operations,” NAAPE said.
