Dammy Krane knocks VDM, says God using Falana to teach him a lesson

Nigerian singer, Oyindamola Johnson Emmanuel, popularly known as Dammy Krane, has reacted to the ongoing case between activist VeryDarkMan and senior lawyer, Femi Falana.

Earlier this week, the Ikeja High Court ordered VeryDarkMan to stop circulating or publishing defamatory content about Falana and his son, musician Falz.

The order was issued after VDM shared an audio recording in which crossdresser Bobrisky claimed that Falana and Falz contacted him during his six-month sentence for naira abuse.

Reacting to this, Dammy Krane took to Instagram, accusing VeryDarkMan of “selective activism” and claiming the activist only supports individuals he personally likes.

He also accused VeryDarkMan of failing to properly investigate his dispute with singer Davido before publicly taking sides.

“God is using this Falana case to show VeryDarkMan that he didn’t treat me fairly.

“If it were someone else, he would have looked into the evidence. When I said Davido owes me, I was only referring to what Davido posted online. When I showed CCTV footage of police trying to break into my house, VeryDarkMan didn’t address it or investigate before speaking.”

Krane added that the activist pressured him to apologize, but he refused, saying, “I cannot apologize for telling the truth. There is no evidence against me; I was detained illegally. If I apologize, they’ll use it against me in court.”

The dispute between Dammy Krane and Davido dates back to October 2023, when Krane accused the ‘OBO’ crooner of owing him for songwriting contributions and sabotaging his record deal with Sony Music.

He also linked Davido to the 2017 death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who died from alleged alcohol poisoning.

Davido dismissed the accusations and threatened to sue Krane for defamation and cyberbullying.

In August 2024, Krane was arrested and later claimed that Davido was behind the arrest.

After nearly a week in detention at the Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), he was released.
