The SA Political to the Minister of Youth and Sports, Maiwada Danmallam has said that his principal, Barrister Solomon Dalung should be praised for being humble to queue for food at the 2016 Rio Olympics instead of being criticised for the action.
Danmallam, who was reacting to media report, labeling the minister’s action as embarrassment to the country, says the media who criticise Nigerian leaders or public officials of violating or being disrespectful to the laws of the land, and for assuming the statutes of demi-gods and living false lifestyles should commend Dalung for setting a precedence that if followed would see leaders in Nigeria doing things the right way.
“The media are the people who crucify our leaders for adopting lifestyles that are not consistent with their peers in the civilized world, yet Vanguard labels a simple action like waiting on the queue for food by a Minister a national embarrassment, and I find this is ridiculous and worrisome.
