Chairman of Ngaski LGA Mahmod Muhammad who handed over the money to the families told Daily Trust yesterday in Warra that the other three victims who survived the shooting received N1million to share. He added that government would look at the possibility of paying compensation to victims and families of those killed during the unrest.
“The governor who gave the money while on an official tour of projects in Warra also personally visited the family of the two victims. He is really worried over the incident and has assured families of the deceased that a full scale investigation has commenced and police officers indicted in the incident will be prosecuted.
“The police have already sent a team of investigators and normalcy has fully returned to the area. I am therefore calling on citizens to remain calm and law abiding,” he said.
