Media Trust Limited, owners of Daily Trust, Aminiya and Trust TV, has launched a shopping hub as part of its digital strategy.

Trust Store will provide a dynamic online shopping experience for our readers and the general public, the newspaper management said in a statement on Monday.

The e-commerce platform—(stores.dailytrust.com)—offers products in different categories such as electronics, food, health, personal care, office equipment, supplies, etc.

The shop also has a fashion category that displays an array of apparel and footwear for men, women, and children.

In addition to these, the hub features a collection of home and beauty accessories and digital products such as ebooks— personal development, business, and education.

Transactions on the shopping hub will be executed through the newspaper’s partnership with Gold Citti, an e-commerce company. The newspaper will also generate revenue from digital products on the store through an affiliate system.

“The Daily Trust e-commerce website promises a constantly changing assortment of quality merchandise at affordable rates to the newspapers’ readers and the general public,” says Naziru Mikailu, Daily Trust Editor-in-Chief.

“We are excited to launch Trust Store. Our online readers and the general public can browse high-quality items from around the world through select categories on the e-commerce platform and find products at good prices.”

In addition, the newspaper has introduced a new section–Shopping Guide on the shopping hub.

“The Shopping Guide’s core focus is to create user-friendly, commerce-focused content for our readers,” Naziru added.

The store can be accessed through this link.
