It was gathered that after serving for about three months, Hajara was taken to Dutsen Alhaji in Bwari Area Council of the FCT to work for the sister of her Katsina mistress but that she was reported missing.
Shehu said all efforts by Sambo to get his daughter back through the agent, Usman, proved difficult, which made him report the case to the NSCDC.
He further said that upon the arrest and interrogation, Usman confessed to have taken the girl to Katsina with the consent of her father, Sambo, who received N5,000 monthly from the client in Katsina, but denied knowing that the girl was taken to Abuja to serve Hajiya Maimuna’s sister, Aunty Sadiya..
While noting that there were four other girls that Usman took to Hajiya Maimuna, the NSCDC spokesman said, Usman confessed that he usually got paid by the women whenever he took girls to them and also received another payment from the parents whenever the trafficked children ran back home.
Shehu explained that Sambo received calls twice from his daughter while she was in Abuja and also received N100,000 from her mistress, Aunty Sadiya.
