‘Cybercriminal’ remanded in Ekiti

A magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, has ordered the remand in prison of a 37-year-old man, Omobolade Olabode, for 30 days.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendant was arrested on August 7, in connection with cybercrime, conspiracy and theft.

The plea of the defendant was not taken.

The Magistrate, A. Adeosun, ordered his remand pending advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned to September 23.
