An operational van of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Wednesday reportedly hit and crushed to death, a 35-year-old lotto operator, Mumuni Juwon, at Asu village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

It was gathered that the incident, which involved operatives of the NCS Federal Operating Unit (FOU), Ikeja, Lagos, occurred when the customs men were chasing some rice smugglers.

A legal counsel, Ganiyu Kusanwo, who spoke with newsmen in Abeokuta on behalf of the deceased’s family alleged that the NCS officers were driving recklessly before hitting Juwon.
